Friend Makin Monday TUESDAY!!

SO YES, YES YES...
i am a little behind, but i could not...
COULD NOT!!
pass the chance to blog about my absolute FAV celebration of the year!
Please click here for rules and INFO!!

So here it is, Kasey's Friend Makin Monday...
Hosted this week by Shawn at SERIOUSLY...
Everything fabulous about 4th of July!!

What are you doing this July 4th?
What i do every year for the past 26 years...
well i have missed a couple while living in Hawaii...but besides...
Enjoying the Celebration with my enormous family that all travel
to the great Northwest to our little 2 bedroom cabin on the waterfront
on hood canal, in Union, Washington!
This is summer love!!

What is your favorite dish to pass when attending a 4th of July party or summer barbecue?
well since my family just knocks out awesome lip licking goodness on this day,
and me being the AWESOME cook in training...
I usually bring the fruits!! But here is a cake made by my cousin!!

Do you have any July 4th traditions?
Hmm...we all gather a huge amount of people on this little teeny deck...
we stuff ourselves silly with yummy foods all day long...
the guys go out and spend an outrageous amount of $$$$ on fireworks..
we all sit out under blankets on the deck and enjoy the show...
and hope that no roofs catch on fire, and no hands get blown off this year!
Then we call it a night, and find a place on the floor to sleep!!
Its just the best!

But 4 summers ago we did start a 4th of July tradition in honor of my Grandma Nan...
all the houses on the cover decorate themselves, and boats, paddle boats, and rafts
and we have a Parade on the water! Its something really special to us!

decorating out Trampoline for the Parade...

Here comes the Parade!!

Share your favorite July 4th picture.
since i have shared a couple already...here are a few more!

Wow, you guys have such a great 4th! What a great place to spend it. And yes, the brownies are a must! I bake my about 25 degrees lower than the box calls for and bake them about 45-60 minutes. You want to make sure they are set in the middle. The toothpick trick doesn't really work because the chocolate in the middle will come out when you test it.

Oh my gosh!! SO much fun!! What a fun family! I also have a mungo family, and we're all very close, so I totally get it & appreciate it.

Love your blog, and I'm SO glad we've met!!

What a totally fun 4th. We love to hit the lake. The parade is such a neat idea. I love the last photo of the little man and the tattoo.
This year we are celebrating the 4th on a Colorado vacation. We are hoping to see the fireworks up in the mountains.
I hope you have a safe and fun 4th with your friends and family.
