simple words can mean the world...

I have been absent on my blog for a little while.
But, friends here in bloggyland have not been absent in my life.
Some ladies, just truly amazing, thoughtful, kind hearted women
have filled my heavy heart with kindness and love.
sending their thanks, praises, appreciation, and abundant prayers
to me, my husband, my family, and the soldiers and families of our unit.

Although it was not my intentions to use my blog
as an outlet for my grieving...
this is my reality.
my thoughts, my emotions, my tears. our losses.
our reality.

This week. it hit closer than ever before.
On 14 September 2009, my husbands platoon was involved in an incident
resulting in 2 soldiers killed in action, and 5 with serious injuries.
Please keep the families and friends of these fallen heroes in your thoughts and prayers as they begin to move forward.
Our wounded soldiers are soon to be moved back to the U.S from Germany.
And their families will be reunited with them, and join together to begin to heal.
We send all our prayers to them at this difficult time.

All of our troops everywhere are amazing men and women
who volunteer to serve and protect our country
Continue to support our military and their families.
Thank you all for the love and support that you have sent me
in all the different ways it has been coming.
Every word of thanks, support, and love means the world...
to me, my husband and our children.
Thank you,
Shawn

I'm glad you got my card. Hope in some small way it helped...if only just to know that people are praying for you and the other families.

*hugs*

I know how much I love going to that mailbox and finding something in it for just little ol' me!

I'm glad we were able to offer you a little support but nothing, NOTING, compares to what you and your family do for each one of us each and very day!

THANK YOU!
