Race to Afghanistan

So these last weeks have been rough ones here at home.
Our 5th Stryker Brigade has suffered some great losses.
My thoughts and Prayers are with these families and the rest of the
5/2 family as we continue through this difficult time.
Please keep our soldiers in your prayers.

Here at home, the FRG group has put together a sort of "race"
to show our support for our soldiers as they are gone,
and to also give us one more fun thing to help pass time!
We are putting together teams to walk, run, exercise, bike...however your want...
all the way to 10,000 miles.
The amount of miles it took our men to travel to their destination.

Its not so much of a race, as it is a fun way for us to support our soldiers.
here is a break down.
one hour cycle class...cause you know you love em...equals 12 miles
every 15 minutes of aerobics equals 1 mile
and then run, walk, crawl...every other mile!

At the end of every month we are to submit our total miles traveled for that month.
And once we get close to the end, we hope to have a large walk
to walk the final mile together.

All my bloggy readers out there...
if you wanna join in the race, and submit to me some traveling miles at the end of every month
anyone can join!
just let me know. I put you on my list. and then i email you once a month to check your status!
One more way for us to pass on the time.
on this endless year ahead. Cause yes, we are in for 11 more months.
Oh geeze. really?!

I'll do it. I just watched a nightly news report of our brave young men in Afghanistan. It made me cry and pray for them. I would love to support our brave soldiers. Do you have my e-mail?
